Southern Northumberland Coastline
Xmas 2012, a set on Flickr.
Spent the morning wandering down the coast from New Hartley to Tynemouth Priory. Beautiful sunny day but very windy – Tyne bar lighthouse recorded gusts of upto force 9.
As some may know, the entire shore is littered with rocky outcrops and reefs (known locally as middens). These cause the waves to break and the high wind blows the top away.
Going to try and go back later in the week and take a long exposure sunrise shot.
