Fantastic blog post from Alexey Kljatov from Moscow about a rig that he’s built for photographing snow flakes. It’s based on a reversed Zenit lens (other cheap Soviet lenses are available) and a glass plate. The snow sits on the backlit glass and the lens rig is placed over the top.
