Gimp, UFRaw, dCRaw and my Canon 1100d
I’ve been wanting to shoot RAW format files for ages and have found a way using GIMP, my photo editor of choice.
“The Unidentified Flying Raw (UFRaw) is a utility to read and manipulate raw images from digital cameras. It can be used on its own or as a Gimp plug-in.”
The Gimp plugin also makes use of lensfun – a library that removes known lens and sensor distortions
By adding UFraw-plugin I can import RAW files into GIMP. To do this, follow the instructions here: http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Install.html
